Du'a to the Mosque ("The Right of the Petitioners")

Ḥadīth of “The Right of the Petitioners”:

Translation of the Ḥadīth:

On the authority of Abu Saʽid Al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him; he said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Whoever leaves his home for the prayer and says: 'O Allah, I ask You by the right of the petitioners with You, and I ask by right of this walking of mine, for I have not come out in pride, nor of vanity, nor of ostentation, nor for repute; I came out in avoidance of Your wrath, and imploring Your pleasure. So, I ask You to protect me from the Fire, and to forgive me my sins, for surely, none forgive sins except You'; Allah will turn His Countenance towards him, and seventy thousand angels will pray for his forgiveness.'”

[Narrated by: ʾAḥmed, At-Ṭabarāni, al-Bayhaqī, and Ibn Mājah; and the verbiage is his.]
